Expert.com.jm ("Expert", "we", "us") is a Jamaican scheduling and payments platform that lets professionals publish a booking page, take appointments, and get paid. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to professionals who create an account and to clients who book through a professional's page.
Connecting Google Calendar is optional and initiated by you. When you connect it, we request only the following Google OAuth scopes:
openid and email — to identify the Google account you connected and display its email address in your settings.calendar.freebusy — to read your busy/free periods (times only, not event titles or details) so that times you are already busy are hidden from your public booking page.calendar.events — to create, update, and remove the calendar events that mirror bookings made through Expert.We use Google user data solely to provide these two features — reflecting your availability and adding your Expert bookings to your calendar. We store your Google account email, the id of each event we create, and OAuth access/refresh tokens; tokens are encrypted at rest. We do not read the contents of your existing calendar events, and we do not use Google data for advertising or profiling.
Expert's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google user data, do not use it for advertising, and do not share it with third parties except as needed to provide these features or where required by law.
You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time from Dashboard → Settings, which deletes the stored tokens. You can also revoke access directly at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
We share information only with service providers that help us run Expert — our payment processor (Dimepay), our email provider (Resend), and Google (for the calendar features you enable) — and only as needed to provide the service. A booking's details are shared between the client and the professional involved. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law.
We retain account and booking records for as long as your account is active and as needed for legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution purposes. Passwords are hashed and OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data. If you disconnect Google Calendar or delete your account, associated Google tokens are removed.
You may update your profile information in your dashboard, disconnect integrations at any time, and request access to or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. Clients who booked with a professional can contact that professional or us regarding their booking data.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
